The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Group

Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master the talented storyteller has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a wide array of characters, and a thrilling plot featuring celestial beings, demons, and sinister influences increasing in strength within the urban setting.

Note: Key plot points for the third episode of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The third episode finished on a major cliffhanger and revealed the initial group of heroes who will split off from the primary party to embark on their independent quest, distinct from the other two tables.

This warrior group includes Teor (played by Travis), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

Given 13 cast members, it was obvious from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

This explains, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, connecting the individual narratives before branching into three separate parties: Fighters, Schemers, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

As described by the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for players who enjoy a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven narrative style where peaceful solutions are scarce.

Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might seem unsuited, but the events of episode 3 demonstrate why these particular heroes are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the party has a clear idea where to go next after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose demise initiated the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his personal gain, invading Thjazi’s hideout, attacking Thimble, and stealing all the powerful objects to auction.

The antagonist then cleared his obligations and fled to a fortified location in the northern region, above Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each character has a specific drive to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and best friend, seeks revenge.
  • The adventurer knows the northern area and advises that it is a nasty place.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their status as prominent individuals in House Halovar could assist the group reach places they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, Teor vowed a life debt to The savior for his deliverance and will now follow him everywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are sought by the powers that control the setting for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally too risky:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The healer defied House Halovar and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This results in them few options but to travel to Timmony in search of Casimir.

Upcoming Developments

Based on episode three’s Cooldown, we learn that the Soldiers table will be absent next week, leaving the remaining eight players to form the Questers and Planners parties.

Audiences can look forward to learning which players will be assigned to which table in the season’s final introductory chapter, released on the upcoming Thursday.
